Graand Palace is one of the main attractions of Bangkok. It was built in 1782 and was home to the King for 150 years. The Grand Palace has a beautiful architecture, formed by the creativity and craftmanship of the Thai People.
Inside the Palace are many impressive buildings, like the
Temple of the Emerald Buddha, also called Wat Phra Kaew. In it is the Emerald Buddha, dating back to the 14th century.
Thai Kings stopped living in the palace around the turn of the twentieth
century, but the palace complex is still used to mark all kinds of
other ceremonial and auspicious happenings.
IMPORTANT NOTE:For people who want to enter the Palace, a strict dress code applies. The Grand Palace with The Temple of the Emerald Buddha is Thailand's
most sacred site. Visitors must be properly dressed before being allowed
entry to the temple. Men must wear long pants and shirts with sleeves
(no tank tops. If you're wearing sandals or flip-flops you must wear
socks (in other words, no bare feet.) Women must be similarly modestly
dressed. No see-through clothes, bare shoulders, etc. If you show up at
the front gate improperly dressed, there is a booth near the entrance
that can provide clothes to cover you up properly (a deposit is
required).People who do not dress properly, will not be allowed to enter the temple!

Palace and Wat Pra Kaew are in the Banglamphu area of Bangkok – the ‘Old
City’. To get there you can take a taxi, which from the centre of
Bangkok will cost about 80 Baht.

• 11am: Lumpini Park - walk along water monitors
Lumpini Park is located in the heart of Bangkok, at the junction of Rama IV and Ratchadamri roads. It has an area of 140 acre (0.57 sq. km.). The park has an artificial lake where visitors can rent boats. A track around the lake is a popular area for bicycling. In front of the park is the monument of King Rama VI, built in 1941.

Pratunam Markets is one of Bangkok's major markets, selling clothes, shoes, and fashion accessories at wholesale prices.
